About our Nursery & PreSchool
At Brooksward School, we work closely with our Nursery and Pre-school to ensure a smooth and enriching start to every child’s educational journey. Together, we share and uphold the values of Excellence, Citizenship, and Innovation, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive, explore, and grow. You would be welcome to view our wonderful onsite nursery and preschool. The rooms have been sympathetically refurbished to provide light and well equipped play areas.
We offer full and part-time care for up to 18 babies, 24 toddlers and 40 preschool children from the age of four months to five years. Our opening hours are from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, excluding bank holidays 3 days between Christmas and New Year. You will not be charged for these days
The nursery and preschool both have gardens and enclosed outside play areas, including the use of our timber-framed outdoor classroom and on site Forest School. Outdoor play is a key aspect of Brooksward School’s ethos overall and the children benefit from spending time outdoors every day, whatever the weather.
Our preschool team works closely with the Schools Foundation Stage leaders to help develop a broad and enriching curriculum for our children – all designed to encourage curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Our termly enrichments provide the children with extracurricular activities such as Socca Tots, Rag Dolly Annas and a school trip in the year.
Our caterers, Cucina, provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meal options. We can accommodate most dietary requirements and are confident that your children will love their food!.
Your child will be allocated a key person who will build a bond with the children, plan around their interests and develop and track the children’s learning development and will be your main point of contact and can update you on your child’s day etc providing the close care

Funding your childcare
We are pleased to be able to offer up to 30 hours funded childcare to help cover the costs of your childcare, please check your eligibility on the government funded website. We charge on a monthly basis and require a £50 deposit which is refunded on the 1st months invoice and £20 registration fee to reserve your child’s space.
